The Armadillo was demonstrated by BAE Systems at the Eurosatory arms fair in 2010. Based on the MK III, the vehicle has a combat weight of 35 tonnes and a payload of 8 tonnes. BAE Systems markets the variant as a personnel carrier, command vehicle, medical vehicle, engineer group vehicle and mortar carrier. The LEDS-150 hard-kill system from Saab is mounted as a stand-off active protection measure.
