It was developed from the gun fighter tank. The armament consisted of two launchers for the wire-guided anti-tank guided missile SS 11, an anti-aircraft and a nose machine gun of the type MG1, later MG3 and MG3A1 respectively. The rocket fighter tank had 14 anti-tank missiles, twelve of which were stored in special holders, while the remaining two were carried on the launching ramps to the right and left behind the driver and commander respectively.
