The Henschel HS 115 A of the manufacturer Henschel & Sohn is a military truck of the 5 t class. It was procured by the Bundeswehr in 1956 and 1957 as a bridging solution until the arrival of the Mercedes LG 315/46 and MAN 630 types in 1958. 956 and 1957, about 400 Henschel HS 115 A were thus procured, which were mainly used as tractors for the 105mm and 155mm field howitzers. It was quickly recognised that the trucks were only partially suitable for their intended purpose and they were then withdrawn from the Territorial Army as replacements.
