The T-26 was a Soviet tank used by the Red Army from 1931 to 1945. In 1931, the Soviet Union concluded a licensing agreement with the British armaments company Vickers for the production of the Vickers 6-ton. The T-26 was used in the Spanish Civil War, in the Japanese-Soviet border conflict, in the winter war between the Soviet Union and Finland and in the Second World War. In the conflicts of the 1930s, the T-26 proved to be contemporary and was sometimes superior to the vehicles of the enemy.
