This kit oft he LARS I. show a multible rocket launcher oft he Bundeswehr ( German Federal Republik). The company Wegmann & Co produced from 1969 until 1990s this Werfersystem, consisting of 2 packages of 18 drawn tubes caliber 110mm. First, this weapon system was mounted on a truck chassis of the manufacturer Magirus, Magirus Deutz 178 D 15 A, this design got the name LARS I. The cab of the truck was lightly armored against infantry weapons.
Each launcher was capable of delivering the 36 missiles within 18sec. Shoot up to 14km. The throwers were always used platoon way to ever 4 vehicles. Mines could be shot, but splinter ammunition and smoke grenades were also part of the equipment. A launcher train was able to shoot a mine belt of 1500 meters wide and 500 meters deep.
From 1980, the launcher was then set to the truck MAN 7to. This weapon system then got the name LARS II. The last launchers were decommissioned in April 2000.
The detailed model in the Resinguß is supplemented by 2 boards Photo etched brass sheet, with which all small parts can be displayed in Super Quailty. The set of decals, also included in the kit completes this kit
