The PT 76 is a light flotation tank first introduced in 1952. Its strengths in flotation without preparation, speed and manoeuvrability were matched by a number of weaknesses. To reduce weight, the PT-76 had only weak armour and light armament with limited vertical swing range - to limit vehicle height.
