The 8.8-cm PaK 43 was an anti-tank gun of the German Wehrmacht with the calibre length L/71. In order to make the weapon quickly available as a tank destroyer gun, the already designed mount construction of the unintroduced Rheinmetall "10.5-cm light gun 41 L/40" was used with slight adaptations for reasons of simplification.
